Diana Lusher, Don's widow is in the process of listing available music of compositions and music associated with him. It will be finished within the next month.

A wonderfully talented gentleman. I met Don, for the first time, working with the Johnny Lambe Orchestra, and later, with the Jack Newman Orchestra, on one of the sessions in London. What a beautiful sound he made with that trombone. I often look back on those great times and think how privileged I was to work with people of his stature. God bless you, Don.

Is Don buried in the graveyard at Berry Pomeroy, Nr Totnes in South Devon? There is certainly a stone there that says, as far as I remember; 'Don Lusher Musician', with I think, his date of birth and death, if so what is or was his connection with this small village. I am merely curious and interested, thanks, Tony Fantini (Drums). Bournemouth, Dorset.

Tony, I only met Don on a couple of occasions, and that was for a gig with the Johnny Lambe Band and a recording session with the Jack Newman Orchestra; so I don't know of any connection with the village that you mention. Details may be somewhere on the internet. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Wonderful player! I'm with my mother-in-law in a rehab center & came across a beautiful recording of Don playing "I love you for Sentimental Reasons". Beautiful expression, vibrato & sound. Sorry we never met. Thanks for the music.
